These are photos of Commencement Eve & Graduation Day, May 18-19, 2001. Enjoy!
This is Adam -- when I was a senior at Bancroft, he was an incoming freshman. As such, I was his "big buddy." But now my "little buddy" is bigger than me -- and attending a much bigger school (Brown!). So I was highly successful with this one.
Matt, Ben, Jeff at the Dillingham Fountains on one of the 90 days per year that they are actually on.
Rob & Ben beforehand. This is at about 8:30 AM as they lined us up by school. Rob is trying to cause trouble ;)
Eric, Ben, Erik and Rob outside getting ready for the procession into Buttermilk "Stadium."
This is Maryanne in front of me as we get ready to pick up our medallions and walk under the balloon contraption.
Me -- during the procession into the "stadium."
This is the view from the stands in the "stadium."
This is how the stands looked from where we were sitting.
Eric, Kathy & Ben immediately following the procession out. Since we are grouped by schools, we couldn't sit with her during the ceremony.
More happy graduates immediately following the ceremony. (R-L): Ben, Rob, Erik, Mike, Eric.
Eric and I unceremoniously picked up (ie: not handed) our diplomas. Ithaca is such class.
Posing with the grandparents outside of the reception area.
Newsworthy Online Listens! When you requested more Jason Subik, we delivered -- PRONTO.
Rob & Ben still lingering as the reception slowly dies down...
Outside again schmoozing with the people.
Doc Hoc makes faces at the camera while sipping is Ecto-Green Kool-Aid.
The audience that stuck around for Gail Sheehy's commencement address.
