Ben Dobson

For those of you not familiar with him, Ben Dobson has quite a checkered past.

He graduated high school from the Bancroft School in Worcester, MA which is a private K-12 college preparatory school.

He graduated cum laude from Ithaca College with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, and a minor in History.

From 1993-1997, Ben worked as a remote staff member for Turner Educational Services, Inc. which was responsible for the TV show "CNN Newsroom" and its presence on America Online. He hosted conferences, maintained the online forum, and consulted for the show at the CNN HQ in Atlanta.

Also during this time, he worked as a new anchor and later a news director for radio station WCUW-FM in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Ben interned and later freelanced at WGMC-TV 3 in Worcester, MA, and now reports full time there (since January 7, 2002 this is now New England Cable News' Worcester News Tonight).

He also freelances for WLNE-TV (ABC6) in Providence, RI.

During college, Ben worked on the KTLA Morning News in Los Angeles and GRB Entertainment, a producer of reality-based documentaries. He has also served as the news director for WICB-FM in Ithaca, NY and for ICTV's NewsWatch 16, also in Ithaca, NY.
