This is the next morning. We found a really sleazy Ramada to stay at since everything here in Portage, Indiana was booked solid. We literally drove from hotel to hotel for over an hour looking for someone, anyone with a room available. I won't go into what was in the bed sheets... but this is what we found the next morning. A full-blown model (porn?) shoot.

Welcome to Denny's -- the fine eating establishment that it is. This restaurant was basically across the street from our hotel so we went from one classy locale to another. Wahoo! Hey, at least our waitress, Sue, was an absolute doll.

(L-R): Matt, Ed, Eric

This is after breakfast -- and here's the trip in a nutshell:

Ed is staying out of things;

Bernie is confused;

Will is on the phone with his girlfriend;

Eric is pissed about his cheap sunglasses ... and I am taking too many pictures.

Later that day, we made it all the way to Chicago. That included a pass through Gary, Indiana. Not exactly a pretty city on the I-90 pass through it. But nevertheless, we found Chicago in plenty of time to enjoy the city.

Here we are on Navy Pier, and standing on a piece of artwork which has signs all around it that say "Keep Off." But what society needs is less conformity and more fun. (L-R): Ed, Will, Matt, Eric

This is just me and Eric on the waterfront at the Navy Pier. I love the color of the water in this picture.

...and a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan from the Navy Pier. The water color is suddenly different but equally pretty.

This is Clark Street in Chicago, which is far and away the friendliest street in America! We met three random people just waiting for the traffic light to change.

Just another cool skyline shot. Why is Eric walking away from Bernie?! But keep a close eye on the skyline -- from this vantage point, it's amazing!

This speaks for itself!

This dude was flying over the Navy Pier -- gorgeous day!
